Every vintage piece is one of a kind. It captures the atmosphere of its time, reflects the trends and represents a historic era of its fashion house. Patina, wrinkles and scuffs take nothing away from its beauty – on the contrary, they prove that it has been truly loved, useful, functional and fully lived in. Genuine leather lives, works and responds, which is exactly why it creases, cracks and develops a patina. Unlike faux leather, it has memory, movement and depth. Every crease, every trace of time is proof of authenticity and of real use, just as it should be. Perfection is sterile, but patina is truly chic.

TOM FORD ERA

Tom Ford was appointed creative director in 1994 following a period of financial and creative instability at the house. Ford introduced a sharply defined aesthetic characterised by streamlined silhouettes, high-gloss finishes and references to 1970s glamour. Under Ford’s direction, Gucci underwent a rapid transformation into a global fashion powerhouse. Accessories and leather goods played a central role in this revival, with updated interpretations of archival codes—such as the horsebit and bamboo—reframed within a modern, provocative context. The period also established a close alignment between creative direction and brand image, with campaigns and collections operating as a unified visual strategy. Ford remained at Gucci until 2004.

THE ICONIC JACKIE

The Gucci Jackie bag, initially launched in the 1950s under the name “Fifties Constance,” was renamed in honor of Jacqueline Kennedy, who was frequently photographed carrying it in the 1960s. This hobo-style shoulder bag, characterized by its signature piston lock, became a symbol of effortless elegance and was revived in several modern iterations by designers like Tom Ford for Gucci and Alessandro Michele. Jackie 1999, 1961, rectangular is one of the most sought after Gucci bags to this day.

HOUSE OF GUCCI

Gucci was founded in Florence in 1921 by Guccio Gucci as a family-run leather goods business. The brand expanded internationally under the leadership of Guccio’s sons, but internal family conflicts eventually led to the loss of family control by the late 20th century. Gucci’s modern history has been strongly influenced by successive creative directors, notably Tom Ford, who redefined the house in the 1990s, followed by Frida Giannini, Alessandro Michele, Sabato De Sarno and recently Demna Gvasalia.

about shopping at Treasures

Dearest clients,

at Treasures, you will find carefully sourced pre-loved designer vintage pieces. Shopping vintage is cool & chic, it has it's charm and numerous advantages, but it also comes with certain compromises and specifics.

When shopping vintage (whether at Treasures or elsewhere) it is important to remember that pre-loved items come with signs of wear and imperfections. Each wrinkle and scratch adds to the charm of the piece and does not take away from its beauty. On the contrary, it serves as proof that the piece has been truly loved, used, and valued in its previous life. It shows that the item is practical, functional and well designed.

Our items are priced significantly lower than similar new products in boutiques. This discount accounts for signs of wear, age, any repairs made and the potential for future maintenance or repairs. As a result, our items might not be ideal for those seeking perfect, like-new condition.

We clean, refresh, repair and apply leather conditioner to the majority of our items, so that they enter their new life as beautiful as possible. If you would like to know any specific information regarding refresh and repairs we've done, please contact us. Some items also arrive to us already repaired.

In partnership with Entrupy, we offer authenticity certificates. Some items already have a certificate completed and included in the price, while for others, you can order one by adding it to your cart.

Thank you for taking your valuable time to read these words and I wish you an amazing shopping experience at Treasures!

Much love,
Tina, founder

showroom visits and reservations

Showroom visits
All pieces can be viewed in our showroom at Vodičkova 791/41, Prague. Visits must be booked in advance here.

Reservations
We offer reservations only after a deposit of 10% of the price has been paid. As soon as the reservation is made, we take the piece off sale, mark it as unavailable and inform everyone else who is interested.

A reservation is binding and is intended for clients who have already decided to buy and wish to complete the purchase in the showroom rather than online.

We appreciate every enquiry. To avoid pieces being blocked and to offer fast, efficient service to all clients, the reservation deposit is by its nature non-refundable. It can, however, be transferred to the purchase of another piece or used as store credit.

You are of course welcome to view all pieces in the showroom without a reservation. If a piece sells before your scheduled visit, we will let you know as soon as possible.

condition

Unless stated otherwise, this is a pre-owned, previously worn piece. Please keep in mind that pre-owned pieces show various signs of wear and imperfections that time has given them. These signs of wear are a natural result of use and should be expected. Pre-owned pieces are therefore not suitable for customers looking for perfection. We always set the price so that it fully reflects the condition.

Please look carefully at the photos, which give you a more accurate idea of the condition. It is not always possible to capture every single imperfection in photos, so please view the piece as a whole and expect more signs of wear rather than fewer. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to contact us for a more detailed consultation on the condition, or come and see the piece in our showroom.

Legend:

A+
Excellent – Almost no signs of wear. Barely used, mostly just stored.

A Very good – Normal signs of wear such as tiny scratches, small scuffs, marks, wrinkles, typical wear to the hardware, slight wear to the corners, etc. Repairs, dyeing, etc. may have been carried out.

B Good – More visible signs of wear such as (in addition to the above) small spots, dirt, rubbing, deterioration, discolouration, other wear of the material, etc.

C Fair – A higher degree of wear. May be suitable for repair/restoration.

Please remember that grading the condition of pre-owned/vintage bags is always a subjective opinion, and our assessment may not match yours. What is very good condition for one person may already be unacceptable for another.

We restore and refresh most pieces before listing them, so that they enter their new life as beautiful as possible. If you would like more information about specific repairs, please ask. These may include, for example, corner repairs, dyeing, filling, zip repairs, stitching, etc. We will always let you know in advance about repairs involving the replacement of a part (e.g. a replaced strap).
Some pieces already arrive to us repaired, and smaller repairs cannot always be easily identified. If any repairs or modifications bother you, please refrain from purchasing.

aftercare

Please remember that some older (especially vintage) pieces require extra care when worn and looked after.

When buying any pre-owned piece (whether at Treasures or anywhere else), you should expect that, given its age and wear, it may need certain repairs or refreshes in the future that cannot be foreseen at the time of sale. See our aftercare guide.

You are of course welcome to view all pieces in the showroom without a reservation. If a piece sells before your scheduled visit, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Do you offer a warranty?

When buying vintage and pre-owned pieces, whether at Treasures or elsewhere, it is important to remember that their lifespan may not be the same as that of new goods bought in a boutique. Given their age and previous use, they may need repairs or refreshes in the future that cannot be foreseen at the time of sale. For this reason, we are not able to offer a warranty in this respect.

However, we offer an aftercare service to all Treasures clients – we will gladly arrange repairs and refreshes of your purchase at our partner workshops.

Can you let me know when a piece I'm looking for arrives?

Yes, we regularly send new arrivals by e-mail to our registered clients according to their preferences. You can send us your preferences here.

What condition are the pieces in?

Have the pieces been repaired?

Leather is a natural material that needs repairs and refreshes over time.

We restore and refresh most pieces before listing them, so that they enter their new life as beautiful as possible. If you would like more information about specific repairs, please ask. These may include, for example, corner repairs, dyeing, filling, zip repairs, stitching, etc. Repairs involving the replacement of a part (e.g. a replaced strap) are always stated in the description.
